Osmosi is an independent contemporary womenswear and multidisciplinary research project born in Tuscany, Italy. Osmosi stems from an ongoing exploration of how different cultures and aesthetics can coexist, interact, and influence one another without losing their identity.

Tailoring, ceramics, goldsmithing, and material research are constantly in dialogue with AI, visual research, and digital technology. Ancient practices and contemporary tools influence each other within the same creative process. Objects that embody time, matter, contradictions, and evolution.

Osmosi primarily works with deadstock fabrics recovered from Italian archives and suppliers. Not only for sustainability reasons, but for the possibility of starting with something that already exists, that carries with it a history, a texture, a real limitation. Often it is the material itself that suggests the direction of the project, influencing the shapes, details, and construction of the garment. This makes many productions limited, mutable, and difficult to replicate identically. And this is a part that Osmosi prefers to keep alive.

Osmosi was born from Giulia Barbieri's experience in the world of style and product development within the high fashion system.

Over time, the need grew to build a more human, more sincere luxury, closer to the real value of things. An idea of luxury built on the time needed to do things well, on the quality of materials, and on the people who make every creative process possible.

A project where research, material, people, and imagination can meet without taking themselves too seriously, but by taking very seriously the way things are done.

Osmosi is constantly evolving. And perhaps this is its most sincere way of existing.
